Puppy Classes

Puppies on this course need to be under five months old or younger and be fully vaccinated.

Our six week Puppy Course will help you to learn the basics of puppy training and also include many life skills that will help your puppy develop into the dog of your dreams! These early weeks of training will ensure you build a lifelong bond and are a great foundation to build upon.

Classes are currently held on a Saturday morning outside and inside at the Marjoram Hall in Gosberton Risegate PE11 4ET.

Some of the skills taught on this course are the basics of sit, down, wait, recall and loose lead walking.  Also life skills to help build resilience, confidence and optimism which is critical for a well rounded, sociable puppy.

Also included with this course is full support in between classes via email, phone call, messenger, tutorial videos and handouts.

The four week Adolescent Course leads nicely on from Puppy Classes and teaches further life skills around the subject of impulse control and good manners.  Included are skills like manners around food bowls, greeting people, walking nicely through doorways and across boundaries, engaging and disengaging with stimuli in the environment.

There will also be an emphasis on helping to work on any reactivity issues which may be problematic and/or to stop reactivity from happening in the first place. Loose lead walking and recall is also really important, as is an emergency stop.

Scentwork

Scentwork classes are designed to help your dog learn how to find a specific odour. Share in their excitement when they find the hidden scent or hidden article!

Whether you want to teach this just for fun or to compete, you and your dog will enjoy working together as a team.  You will help your dog understand that finding a scent is rewarding for them.

This is an all inclusive activity for puppies and dogs of all ages, sizes and abilities. No equipment is needed as this is all supplied.

Any nose work is intrinsically rewarding for all dogs as their primary sense is their nose.  It increases confidence in shy or anxious dogs, strengthens the human/dog bond and is both a mental and physical workout. It can also help busy dogs to self-regulate their emotions and focus their mind.

These classes are held on a SIX WEEK COURSE, one hour every week at a cost of £90.

Hoopers

Hoopers is a great fun sport for puppies and dogs of all ages and abilities and no previous experience is necessary.

You will learn to help your dog navigate a flowing course of hoops, tunnels and barrels using verbal cues and hand gestures.

Dogs just love this activity as it is mentally and physically challenging and the best part, you don't have to run around the course as I teach handling from a distance!

If you have been looking for a fun activity for your dog then this is definitely it!

Hoopers is available as a Workshop or I can offer group sessions or even 1-2-1 training if you prefer to train on your own.
